I first started taking photographs when I traveled and only when I traveled. It wasn't until I worked with press photographers at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta and thought they had the coolest job in the world that I began to seriously look at photography as a career choice. I just knew I had to change my path and create imagery in my everyday life. Already possessing a degree in theatre, I headed back to school for commercial photography, all the while creating images of how I see the world.
As a young girl I was drawn to creating houses for my dolls from objects that were around the house, and in high school my dear friend’s mom taught me to bake. Both of these hobbies turned into passions and have played a role throughout my life, even on a professional level. So it’s no surprise that my image-making has gravitated towards food and architecture.
My professional background includes marketing and communications, directing the in-house agencies of sports and entertainment facilities, and network services for the entertainment and advertising industries. In addition, visual merchandising in women’s and home apparel, interior design and culinary arts have all been a part of my journey in one way or another.
I truly have found my creative voice and photography is how it resonates.
