Introduction to Lightroom: Book Module

Lightroom Book Module

December 6, 2020 – Online Workshop with Zoom

Lightroom is one of the most powerful and versatile programs for organizing, processing, and outputting your images.

Your images are ready to be shown, now it's time to make a portfolio, magazine, or book. The book module in Lightroom is just the ticket. We'll talk about curating your images to create the best flow.

However, there's more to creating a photography book than inserting photos into a template. Before we dive into the module, we'll cover these topics:

  • Before You Start - What's the End Game? Let's do some research & discovery.
  • The Planning Stage - Where can you look for inspiration, how do you create an outline of your concept, and then figure out the best image flow with steps to self-editing.
  • The Design, this is where we'll dive into Lightroom. We'll figure out how to assess book size, cover style & paper type. What fonts and other stylistic choices are there and then complete the package with title, spine, inside cover, and back cover.
  • Going to Print - Let's make sure we proofread our work, get the file ready to send the printer, and discuss doing a color or press check.
